As a reliable self-employed worker, Mark van Dijk (Mark IT NL) has experience with the development and maintenance of customized server platforms, domain name management, email hosting and website hosting for small and medium sized businesses. From 2008 I have built, improved and re-designed and maintained multiple iterations of the content distribution infrastructure for a large American podcast. This includes simple file replication across multiple servers, and a 24/7 audio station that supports both pre-recorded content and live show broadcasts.

The latest version of this infra has taught me a lot about NixOS, specifically. This system also has geo-location aware DNS, as an alternative to more costly alternatives, as well as a wireguard VPN for secure communications between servers.

I enjoy to work as a Linux system administrator, to maintain ZFS storage pools, email with security in place e.g. DMARC, and maintaining DNS, with DNSSEC.
